MSN Money – Associated Press Business News: Samsung to Pay $300M Fine for Price Fixing

“Samsung, the world’s largest maker of memory chips for computers and other gadgets, will pay a $300 million fine to settle accusations it secretly conspired with industry rivals to fix prices and cheat customers, federal officials said Thursday.”

Apparently this is the second largest criminal antitrust fine in history. You should be ashamed of yourself Samsung. What’s funny is that Apple is listed as a victim although they are gladly benefitting from the price breaks (*ahem* fixing) for the flash memory on their Nanos now.
