Hanson & World AIDS Day

I know it’s a little much to take in all at once. There seems to be a million celebrities and companies teamed up with organizations to end poverty and AIDS in Africa. I hope this only goes to show the magnitude of the problem in that country. Hanson, yes those three brothers from Tulsa, OK, recently visited Africa and saw first hand the devastation in that country. Inspired to help put an end to the epidemic, they are releasing their song, “The Great Divide” tomorrow to coincide with World AIDS Day. It is a gospel inspired rock pop anthem that features an African children’s choir. Even if you are not a fan, you can certainly appreciate their musical talent, independence (they waived goodbye to the labels and went indie in 2001), and this noteworthy cause. You can take a listen or watch the video here. If you like what you hear, purchase the song on iTunes or buy a shirt. All proceeds go to Perinatal HIV Research Unit in Soweto, South Africa.
