Shoes: Atmos x Puma Polar Bear Clyde (Endangered Species Pack)
Colorway: White, light blue, light yellow
Description: This is it! The final shoe in the series. I know, I still owe you guys a pair for the mishap on Day 27. Anyway, Puma teamed up with Japanese boutique Atmos as well as photographer Mitsuaki Iwago to bring you this very unique and special pair of Clydes. As part of their Endangered Species pack, this tribute to the polar bear is incredible. The gummy soles glow in the dark. There’s a strip of fur around the ankles. 3 set of thick laces and cool hard (not metal, unfortunately), lace tips. The attention to detail is amazing and for Puma’s, they are super comfortable!
Shoes: Red Wing 1906 Centennial
Colorway: Red brown
Description: Red Wings are the quintessential American work boot. I think paired with raw denim, there’s something special about them. They are not sleek like dress boots but their bulky shape, leather laces, and wear invoke a sense of ruggedness. Paired with the right socks and properly broken in, these Red Wings are a joy to wear. These are the Centennial pair which makes them a little extra special.
Shoes: HUF x Adidas ZX 500 (AZX Collection)
Colorway: White, copper, navy blue
Description: Part of Adidas’s AZX collection which involved flying sneaker store owners from all over the world to their Germany headquarters, today’s Sneaks Peek is courtesy of the letter H, represented by SF hotspot HUF. The shoes are a tribute to the rail history and feature brass eyelets, tipped laces, and a striped colorway which reminds me of the overalls or conductor hats that may have been worn during that period.
Shoes: Nike iD Dunk Lo (Dupe of Day 13)
Colorway: Dark yellow, sea green, “gray”
Description: Long story short – I messed up. Plain and simple. I cannot believe I duplicated a pair of shoes. My excuse? Well I woke up at 6 AM to volunteer for the Heart Walk downtown. C’mon, that’s pretty good right? I’ll post a replacement pair at a later date, but I’ll tag it for the 27th so it appears after this post.
Shoes: KICKS/HI x Sig Zane x Converse Product (RED)
Colorway: Black, white, orange, red
Description: This has an interesting story and I became personally involved, sort of. Some backgroun: KICKS/HI is the islands’ most popular sneaker store. Sig Zane is a clothing company/store famous for their characteristic “modern” Hawaiian print designs (see the lines on the shoes?). Well they teamed up with Converse and Product (RED) to produce a pair. They gave a preview and I emailed Sig Zane asking if I could buy it. The guy was so surprised I contacted him and bewildered how I knew about the shoes. Many emails and weeks later, they held a pair for me. Score! What makes this pair special? Well it’s limited of course. It also has the obligatory red eyelet on the top notch since it’s Product (RED). it also has metal lace tips that are orange. Finally, the shoes have a padded insole, which change how sizing works. It’s thick and very comfortable, but a bit tighter too.
