Google Buys Blogger

If you haven't heard, the hype this week is about the acquisition of Blogger by the search engine Google. Why? Nobody knows but there is much speculation. Hopefully nothing changes, unless it's for the better. Normally I am worried of management changes but having read the article about Google in one of my recent magazines recently, I'll never forget what one of the founders said - "Don't be evil" .. or something close to that.

Why I hate NC Weather

I woke up on a saturday with plans on going to the library to get some reading done. Once I arrive at the library, I notice that it starts to rain. "No big deal", I think to myself and just wished that I had brought my umbrella with me. Oh well, onward with the reading. Two hours into the reading, I hear over the PA "May I have your attention, the state has issued a Tornado Warning and for your safety we would like all the patrons in the library to make their way to the basement of the library. Thank You." But I hear that CA had an earthquake last night so I guess having your home being blown off and having your home being swallowed up by the ground is just as bad.

The weekend was pretty unevenful for me. Mostly I just rested from my busy school week. Like David said earlier, I went with him to Mimi's Cafe for lunch on Sunday. Today, I went back to Irvine and went to this nice Thai place for dinner with my roomate and his gf. Pretty decent stuff for boring old Irvine.

I am so very disappointed. My dad scored me a couple of courtside (well, 19th row from the court) Lakers tickets for Tuesday. Isn't that the much anticipated sold out Laker game against Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets you ask? Yes it is... stop reminding me damnit! Unfortunately, I have WAY too much work due Wednesday to go. So some other lucky bastard gets to go. What a cruel cruel world.

Oh yeah, while we were at the Grove, this British girl came up to Ted (with his new mohawk) and asked if he wanted to be in Elle Girl Magazine. What a stud!

Horrible Ass Day!!!!

This was the worst day ever..well not really but Lady Luck was definitely not on my side.

First I went to lunch with my sister and her ex. We got dim sum at 888, something I had been craving. Well I guess on weekdays they only make like 1/5th of the stuff they normally have and it just so happened they didn't have much I liked. Darned.

Then on the way back I saw my coolest friend, Ted, speeding away. We were supposed to go to the tattoo parlor together but he ran home to SD without saying bye. :(

Then I drove back and went to Albertsons. When I got home I realized they forgot to put one of my bags in the cart so I was out like 5 items. I went back to the store and told them and the manager told me to just to get what I was missing. I could only remember four of the five items, so I am out my asparagus now :( Then I drove back and my neighbor's HOT HOT HOT rich little white girlfriend was just getting out of her sweet bimmer. She parks like her boyfriend - like shit. I was going to use it as an excuse to talk to her "Uh can you straighten out your car please?" but I was too wimpy. I don't have the pimp skills like Ronbo. So I just took my groceries and went upstairs.

Then I started cooking dinner. I opened up the fridge and heard a loud crashing sound. The crushed garlic I had just bought flew out of the fridge door and smashed into the ground. There was shattered glass everywhere. I tried saving most of the garlic by putting it in a tupperware container but eventually I realized it was too risky to have chance having glass in the food. I got most of the glass out but thinking that Mike or I could be swallowing glass was not a cool idea. So I dumped everything.

What a sad day.

But wait, the entire weekend was not lost. I saw Daredevil - blah and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days - funny!. I also got to see the cute girl at church, go to Mimi's Cafe with Stanley, hang out with Claire, Vince, Ted, Ronald and Steph, and eat at California Brewing Company (good stuff except for the crappy bbq pork sandwhich).

Bad Ass Day!!!!

Today, Claire and Steph took me to see the Los Angeles Kings game at the Staples Center. Man, Claire is bad ass. She got me luxury suite tickets. OMG!!!! It was unbelievable. I was caught by surprise. I was blindfolded on the way to the Staples Center. The whole time, I thought we were just going to Joe's Crab Shack because that's all I had been thinking about all week long. It turns out that the Staples Center was 1 Million times better than Joe's Crab Shack. Good Grief. The seats included food and a room to watch the Kings. Also, there were seats right outside the suite for us to sit and watch the game live. Man, life could not get any better at that point. Only part which was sad was that the Kings lost 3 - 2. Damn those Islanders, but that was a great game and a great experience. THANKS CLAIRE!!! Even my favorite Kings player, Ziggy Palffy scored a goal. Woohoo!!! Then my folks took me out to this Shabu Shabu Buffet. That was terrific. Then I guess my mom knew the manager there so my dad and I got a free mug of beer each. To end the day off, I met Claire, Steph, David, and Ted at the California Brewing Co. where they had dinner, and I had a Creme Brulee. That was terrifc. So damn good. Then I drove back to Riverside after that. So that was my extraordinary day. Yay!!!
